Blue Gingko | Korean Tracing Board

The always-inspiring Chalk Academy posted something similar to this a while ago. And, I always hoped we would be able to incorporate it into our learning experience. When I felt like we were at the right age, I really wanted to find a small-business to support so I purchased this through Etsy. So, I was a little bit surprised when my item arrived in an Amazon box. Then, I felt foolish when I realized the board is available (for a discount) on Amazon.

Needless to say, the people I spoke with over at Blue Ginkgo were very helpful and friendly. Our board actually came with some minor damage and they replaced it for free.

I really love the quality of this item. And, I like that it has both sides. One side features each letter on its own. The other side features the letters together. The “pencil” is the perfect size for small hands. My son, who just turned two, had no problem holding it. And, to my surprise, he naturally started tracing each letter. We had a lot of fun playing with this with dough and lining up little pom poms in the shapes.

I’m hopeful this toy will last us a long time and make learning and reading Hangul more fun. What do you think? Do you like this kind of learning resource?
