Rice Cake Dumpling Soup
Like any holiday, Seollal comes with its own customs and traditions. Of course that includes delicious food. 떡굴 (tteog-guk) or Rice cake soup is one of the main dishes served for the New Year. I love the broth, I love the rice cakes, I love it all especially when you take it one step further and add dumplings. Maybe it’s the cold weather, but I have been craving this dish so often. I feel like I’m ordering it every other week.
What I should do, though, is stop being lazy and cook it myself. Korean Bapsang has an amazing looking recipe that seems simple even for someone culinarily challenged like myself. Have you made it? Pleeaaaase hit me up with any tips and advice to make the cooking experience easier. ㅎ-ㅎ
