부르릉 탈것 Vehicle Magnet Carry-Along Book

Little Guy has been obsessed with cars, buses, and firetrucks. If he hears the slightest hint of a sound of sirens or heavy wheel power, he runs to the window to look. So, when I saw this magnet book, I felt like it was the perfect purchase!

Usually, these kinds of carry-along toys are perfect for restaurants or trips. But, since we haven’t been seeing a lot of that action lately (thanks a lot, COVID-19) we’ve been using it when we go to the park. It is actually a little heavy, but Little Guy has no trouble carrying it.

So, buying this was a bit of an airhead moment on my part. I definitely spent more on this than I would have an English version. But, considering what type of toy it is, there is not a whole lot of Korean. (Insert laughing tears emoji.) That said, it has some Korean sentences to get your little one engaged. And, the design of the vehicles (the police car, the ambulance, the bus, etc.) is Korean, too. I actually like that a lot since it can help Little Guy learn that different cultures have different ways of doing things. The town drawings have Korean names on the buildings and signs, which I love. On top of that, I think just the nature of playing with the Korean toys helps me remember to use more Korean while we play.

Another thing I love about this toy is that it is very practical. We can use the magnets in other toys and on white boards or the fridge. That means, I can make other printouts or papers to use with these magnets. It comes with a lot of cars and vehicles. So, actually saved half for later to keep the toy exciting longer.

I got ours on the US Aladin website. But, I’m sure it is available at other Korean shops. Aladin also had three other versions in the series: Animals, Cooking, and the Four Seasons. Eventually, I would love to add the others to our collection if the magnet toys continue to be popular with Little Guy. Do you like these types of toys? How do you use them with your little ones?
